On the way home from Bible Study this morning we were singing. Okay I was singing...mainly to keep them awake. And it worked. My poor children. :)
Anyway, somehow Alexa and I started talking about Jesus being in our hearts.
Then she told me that someday she could be in His heart too.
(She is on this day thing. Like 'next Thursday can we ____' or 'last Monday we did ____')
So I'm pretty sure she told me that when she grows up 'on Wednesday' that she could be in Jesus' heart.
I told her, "Honey, you already are, you always will be in his heart."
Then she tells me, "Mooooommmmy, I'm not in his heart, I'm in the car!"
What would I do without her. She is half the reason I can quickly get out of my funks! :)

oh my, that is just precious! you are so blessed to have such a sweetie for a daughter. i love how you have conversations about Jesus with her. my girls are still too young to understand. xoxo
That is so very cute! Caleb is also always comparing things to "days". Like, how many days until I go to school again? How many days until daddy is home?
such a cute story, and you are so right about our kids helping us out of our funks. That is why God didn't give us teenagers, he gave us babies, so by the time they are teenagers we can still survive! Sounds like a better day and hopefully some adult interaction at Bible study helped.
What a sweet story! I love the hearts our children have - such wonder and curiosity at the amazing God we serve! Your sweet little Alexa sounds like a complete doll - I'm certain you appreciate her like the blessing she is! :)
Have a great day!
She's so funny. Our babes really do brighten the days. For sure!! ;)
What a precious girl you have there. Love her heart.
That is so precious :o)
Aww, so sweet! My 3 year old is so literal like that too. The other day, I called him my "Sweetheart" and he looked at me seriously and said, "Mama, I not a heart, I'm a boy!"
That's too cute : )
I love it when I am in the car and am mad about someone driving slow or something and then I hear Ryan singing a Christian song. It's like God reminding me that I have a little one watching me at all times.
That is funny! I love how literal little ones are. It makes you see things in a whole new light.
This is adorable!! :)
what a beautiful story. love that your not only remember but record these little things...glad you are out of your funk...
Your post made me smile. Alexa sounds a lot like my Bridgette was when she was little. Good news? She's just as special and close to Jesus now at 12!
And...we DO have to meet for coffee some time! I'd love to! I know in one of your posts you said you took your kids to the Giggle Factory...I could meet you there and chat! E-mail me and I'll give you my phone number! mpbixler@baldwin-telecom.net
AWWWW! she is so darn sweet! one of my very favorite things in the world is talking to MK about Jesus. ah, faith like a child...
