Independence is....

Messy.

Really

REALLY

Messy!

Braden is totally in the 'I don't want you to help me eat but I don't really know how to do it either' stage, and man has it been a mess around our kitchen lately.
But it's adorable.
And he's learning.
And we have been getting lots of use out of our bathtub. :)

That might as well be my kitchen!

How cute, well at least he's learning how to feed himself! Has he figured out how to throw it yet???

This is such a fun stage! I love the goopy faces.
Aidyn can have the messiest face while eating but if there's anything on his hands he freaks out. Weird. :)

TOO funny and so incredibly TRUE!!!! I love when they "think" they can do it themselves and are just so set on that...that if anyone dare help them...it usually proves to be the end of the world!! Oh the JOYS! :)

I must say ~ Braden is adorable ~ covered in food and all!

I love that he has no shirt (clothes?) on, but he is still wearing a bib. You crack me up. Hope is just beginning to eat with clothes on again. I ditched all the bibs but the one that goes on like a shirt. Do you carry him facing out to the tub and pray his hands don't manage to make their way to your shirt, hair, face?

I see he has no shirt on...HAHA!! I have to admit that I TOTALLY thought about doing the same thing last weekend when I handed him the mac & cheese!! :O)

Love you

I remember that stage well! I took my kids clothes off when they were still figuring it out. Especially if there was tomato sauce involved.

Yep, seems like this is my house hold as well. T is definitely figuring out which foods he likes and dislikes, the ones that he likes All gone the ones he dislikes end up on the floor or given to the dogs!! Nice..
Hahah Such a fun time minus the cleaning up part.. :0)

Very cute! I remember when my son started doing this. It was a mess! And yes, we used the bathtub a lot as well. Enjoy!

Such cute pictures! Isn't it interesting that independence really is something that has to be fought for and won? Just thinking. I was lucky that my son never went through that phase. I had to encourage it. But one way or another, they learn, don't they?

Love the last picture, his face says excuse me this one is empty.
As for my stay at home post I surely didn't mean to imply it would be easy, but I don't know that I could actually do it, when I was on maternity leave being home alone all day was almost more than I could handle.

Oh how I dread mealtimes!! Haha! How can you be mad at that cute face!! I have to say Chase is getting better at eating. He can even eat a container of yogurt without a disaster!!

My friend, Susan, wrote a poem that made it into a kids magazine:

Brother has a napkin,
Sister wears a bib,
Baby needs a wading pool,
and that's no fib!

Hehe that's sweet. I know what you mean, I freak out when H makes a mess but know he's just learning and wants to do it himself. =)
