Wednesday night I took Braden over to my sister-in-laws house to get his hair trimmed up a little since it was officially hanging past his eyes. I don't think I hard prepared myself mentally very well for the whole thing and I guess I didn't know what to expect. I figured she could just trim a tad off the front and viola, all better. Well she did that and it just did not look "right" so she just kept on cutting and I am not even kidding my heart started pounding. Hard. Like anxiety attack kind of pounding. See, if you know me at all you know I don't do well with change, any "firsts" with my children and having anything unexpected happen. Did this fall into any of these categories? Ummm, yeah...all of them! Please be kind and tell me I am not the first mom to ever have a mini anxiety attack from a haircut. My poor sister-in-law (did I mention she is 9 months pregnant, dilated to a 2 trying not to to have a baby before she finished) is trying to cut as fast as she can, keep Braden distracted and trying to calm me down all at the same time. I have to say she did completely awesome! I was so impressed at how fast she was and how good it looked especially for a one year old who wasn't exactly sitting still. Me? I did good too, ahem, I did okay. When she was finished I just couldn't believe how different he looked! He just looks like such a little boy now. Matt loves it and I actually do to, it just took a little bit to get used to! :)

Oh sweet Laura.. you are NOT the first!!! Isn't it wonderful to have husbands who can *gently* nudge us in the right direction? If it were up to me, all of my kids would still be in bed with me, in diapers, sucking their bottles and pacifiers! I'm so weak... and just love my BABIES as BABIES!!!
You are a GOOD mommy!! Way to go!
God bless-
Amanda
He is so cute. I do love the new hair do. Brings out his beautiful eyes.
Love it! The last photo gave me chills, remembering when we took Lucien in for his first cut. It rounds out so neatly on their neck....why is that? So...did you save the hair? :) He's a handsome boy!
Your son is adorable! :)
Thanks for the comment on my blog.
Peace.
It looks awesome!! She did a great job and I don't blame you one bit. Lauren's hair has never been cut and I don't plan on cutting it until I get make some sort of style out of it!! Her hair in the front it hanging in her eyes but I refuse to cut it because it wouldn't look like bangs....just a really bad baby mullet!!!!
How did you get him to keep his hands down under that thing??? BB cuffs?!
adorable pics! He looks great!
YES I saved the hair! :)
Phill - can you believe he just sat there? He did so good, only the last couple minutes did he want his hands out to hold something.
He looks absolutely ADORABLE...like a little big boy!!
