Reason #174

Why I need a mini van...

Alexa's suitcase
Braden's suitcase
2 life jackets
Bag of beach towels
Large duffel bag for our clothes
Pack-N-Play
Stroller
Backpack full of books
Bag of food
Bag of wipes, paper towel, dish soap, misc.
Bag of inside toys
Bag of pool toys
Alexa's sleeping bag
Case of water
Case of pop
Matt's laptop
My laptop
Small cooler
My huge bag/purse
3 blankets
and 1 stuffed puppy

And all of this is suppose to fit into our Pontiac Grand Prix.

Oh yeah, and 2 sleeping children too!
Somehow we made it happen...I really worked my magic on this one! :) Does every other mom in the world have a minivan but me? I mean, there are many other vehicles I would rather have because no one buys a van to make a fashion statement, you know what I mean. I never wanted a van until we found out I was pregnant with Braden, then I was like "hmmm, I think I could handle one of those!" The thought of carrying a baby, diaper bag, purse, bottle, sippy cup, sunglasses, and car keys while holding onto a toddler's hands trying to unlock and open the car door just doesn't sound like a whole load of fun to me. Then I picture me pushing a little button and viola, doors open. Does it make me sound crazy to think that is a truly fabulous thing? Besides I could totally handle a DVD player and stow and go seats too.

Someday all my dreams will come true. (And by the sounds of Matt's car, I don't think it's too far away!) :)

You. Are. Kidding. Me.

You and Matt are miracle workers!!! i dont think I could fit all that in my Jeep!!!

I hear ya about the mini van. I am torn. I want one because of how kid friendly they are... but the wild woman in me wants a Tahoe.

I know... whenever you think wild woman you automatically envision her driving a Tahoe right???

:)

Talk to you soon!

oh, yes! Viola! unless of course yor standing next to some one else's van that is the same color as yours, then it doesn't work so good!

We love our van. it feels like it has such greater visibility, too.

That certainly deserves a standing ovation. It amazing anyone could move in there.

I was all for the mini van once we got the second dog. No way to kids, two dogs + 1.5 hour drive on a monthly basis works. So, we got one. I love it. Doug wants me to get a Suburban, but I'm not so sure. I like to be able to see if I'm going to hit a grocery cart in the parking lot.

thanks for your kind words on my blog. I drive a mini van, yep, there I said it. Out loud (well kind of). I LOVE it, never thought I would, but with 2 busy girls and a mom that needs a w/c for long distances, oh, and a husband and a dog...it works for us. That and our supercrew Ford truck, but I don't like to drive that. nice to "meet" someone else that likes to cook and not bake. will be back to see how this goes for you. Jenny
