Randomness...With Some Crying!

Okay, so I told myself that I was not going to cry all week over the fact that Braden is turning one tomorrow. But seriously, who and I kidding....

Wwaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I'm better now, just be happy you didn't witness that in person! Actually I am doing pretty good, I think I have just been too busy trying to get everything ready to really think about it too much. Well, until tonight when I put him to bed and realized that when he wakes up he is not going to be my baby anymore, he is going to be ONE YEAR OLD! I will never kiss his little face as a "zero" year old again. Isn't it crazy to think about it that way?

Wwwwaaaaaaaaa!!!

Actually I am really excited for him. He's just so cute and fun! And for the rest of my kids lives I want to really makes their birthdays a big deal so we're having a party this Saturday. I always felt like I was so awesome and special on my birthdays and I want my kids to feel the same way...even if they are only 1 and won't remember. Because I don't care what anyone says I absolutely think birthdays are a big deal. Either way he's growing up and since I obviously can't stop it I might as well enjoy it a little bit, right!?

On another note, Matt's birthday was last Friday. We went out for dinner and then went home for some ice cream cake. Then on Saturday the kids went and spent the night at Grampa and Gramma's house and we had a bunch of friends over. We went tubing down the Apple River, which was a complete blast then back to our house for pizza, games and hanging out. Matt has decided that that was the 1st annual tubing party...so it looks like we'll be doing it again!

After Alexa was born I found these adorable colorful, wooden letters at an antique shop. I have been looking for more of them since Braden was born so his name could be on our fridge too, but the little shop went out of business. What are the chances, huh? So I have been searching the internet and finally found them and got the letters for Braden's name too. I got them in the mail the other week and now my life is complete! :)

Last but not least, here's my baby girl being her silly self like usual. I'm not kidding you, the last dozen pictures I have taken of her looks like this. She has some fascination with silly faces lately! :) Gotta love her!

oh, laura, you always make me laugh!!! this post was hilarious!!! i wish i could say i was sad when my kids turned one but i was so exhausted at that point that i think i was even possibly relieved that they were a wee bit older. is that horrible?! don't get me wrong, i ADORED my babies. but, the sleepless nights, not so much! and i think because they were nursing forever, i felt like they were still my "babies". they were addicted to the stuff! oy!

love the wooden letters. those are so cute!

thanks for the smile tonight!
