Hello World

We're still alive and well, just busy with life lately.

Last week we went to a friends house to see their new {tiny} baby girl and now I don't know who has baby fever more...me or Alexa! Seriously, she wanted to hold her the entire time we were there and couldn't stop talking in a super high baby voice the whole way home. Adorable!

On Sunday we had some friends over to watch the Super Bowl...it was a blast! Didn't actually watch much of the game but, ya know. :) Matt dressed the kids in their Packers shirts. Yup, he did. They looked adorable but I am pretty sure {and by pretty sure I mean I don't know anything about fooball and don't really care much} that they weren't even playing...they were cute anyway. Matt even taught Braden to yell "Packers!" Maybe he can use that next year. :)

After having class every weekend during the month of January, Matt took yesterday off to relax a little bit and spend some times with us. We didn't even do anything. It was great. Now the countdown is on...May will be here before you know it and Matt will never have to step foot into a class again. He's ecstatic to say the least. {FYI: we are planning on having a graduation party sometime in June, everyone is welcome, invite to come.}

Other than that we're just hanging out, patiently waiting for all the snow to melt. Alexa is loving school, every day she asks if she has school and if I tell her no she asks how many days until she does...she loves going, I hope that's last forever. Well okay, realistically, how about until 5th grade. :) This month they have their Valentine's Party and a pajama party, she already has her perfect pjs picked out. Braden is turning 18 months on Saturday and I don't even need a calendar to tell you that. This week a little switch flipped and our baby has turned into a pre-2 year old. I remember the exact same thing happening with Alexa the day she woke up at 18 months, so we knew it was coming. He's still the funniest little guy ever but now he realizes that he has a voice in things, and that voice likes the word NO all the sudden. It's his response to everything. Braden, are you hungry? NO Braden, can I have a kiss? NO Braden, do you want to read books? NO Braden, are you a boy. NO You get the idea. Even with all the NOs he's still so polite...he tells me please, thank you and excuse me...very cute.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm!
Have a wonderful day!! :)

Very Cute! It's going too fast. I love 18 months. Things just start to get so much fun. I remember 6 months {Sophie's age now} is such a fun time too.

Bittersweet huh Mommy?

this is something that i do not, can not understand. will this happen to me? baby fever?

when i think of baby fever, i think of that terrible sickness that almost killed me the first four months with the twins.

That's what I always tell people! Parenting gets easier and easier until 18 months when it just keeps getting harder and harder...I can't wait until we start heading in the right direction again!

Is it wierd that I'm glad you posted. I was needing me a little fix. You and your family are just so darn cute! :)
Yay for having Matt home an extra day. Doug took a few days off last week and it was lots of fun.
Now I see why the colts lost. You've got to get them to say "Colts" - at least when the Packers aren't playing. Even though it was "our" team playing I only watched about 15 minutes of the game. Too much stuff to do. :)

How cute about the baby! Little ones really are the sweetest things in life. Goo luck with the pre 2 year old. It is such a fun age, but sometimes hard. I think staying sane is the hardest part.

I love that both you and Alexa have baby fever! That makes it perfect :)

I hope Alexa enjoys school for a long time too. The more they like it, the easier it is. Good luck with those NO's. haha.

I know what you mean about the "no" thing! Ben says it all the time even when he means yes! It's too cute.

Isn't that no phase cute? When Bridgette was little, she'd say no to everything - then she got "no" and "yes" mixed up...for about two years! My BIL (who is a neurologist) thought she had a learning disability...at age 2! (This is the girl who the gifted and talented teacher had take her ACT's in 6th grade...guess she showed him!)

So glad that Matt was able to take a bit of time off to be with you guys. Hopefully that time recharged him a bit to keep going.

We had pajama day today and crazy hair day tomorrow.

Great update, girlfriend.

Over and out.

Alexa sounds a lot like Madison with school. In preschool she would almost cry on her days off and would count sleeps until the next day. Any break was torture for her!

Too funny about those No's!

May will be here soon enough, I hope anyway. This cold weather sux!

That is so cute. Sigh. and Sniffle. My little guy is turning 18 months soon too (as you know). It goes so stinkin' fast. I think it's what has me wanting another. Just want to cling to the baby days.

marveling at Alexa wanting to go to school. Yes, keep your fingers crossed on that one as she approaches the Middle School years....

BTW, would you mind if I was to put your monkey bread photo and recipe on my blog, crediting and linking to your blog. If you would prefer that I just use the photo and link to the recipe that is fine too. I've gotta get on the stick and do that posting I've been promising ;-)

Thanks!

You recognize, people unceasingly enact comments when anything is predicted to happen in 2012, like “obviously that is if the world is hush here.” You do understand that the Mayans suggest the humanity will end on Dec. 21 (or 23rd)? So in all good chance if anything is going to take place in 2012 there is solitary the slimmest feasibility that the everybody will have ended already it happens.
